CCHL/EHL National Mentorship Program

mentorprogram

We will be teaming up with The Canadian College of Health Leaders to provide our members the chance to take part in the CCHL Mentorship Program. The big change this year is that the Mentor-Mentee program will now be on a National basis. Mentors come on a first come first serve basis.

Scope

The National Mentorship Program is completed in three phases. During phase one, the initiation, mentors and mentees are matched using the College’s formal tool. Matches are based on areas of interest and expertise. Mentors and mentees can request a partner within or outside of their region. They are encouraged to review the profiles and reach out to the individual(s) who are best suited to their development. Partners then meet to discuss the relationship and establish roles, become familiar with one another and set expectations and objectives. New goals may be added based on the discussion and learning that takes place in the early sessions.

The second phase, development, allows members to create a relationship that fosters growth and learning. Members meet on a regular basis, as mutually agreed, and progress is made towards goals and expectations.

The final phase, separation and redefinition, occurs when needs and goals have been met and the program comes to a conclusion. Each participant completes an evaluation and the results are used to make program improvements.
