This year will mark Debbie’s 30th year in Health Human Resources. She has held progressively senior roles within the diverse HR portfolio: Compensation, Classification, Records and Benefits, Recruitment and Labour Relations. She has been in her current position of Executive Director, Recruitment/Compensation/Classification at VCH for the last 10 years, including just over a year overseeing these functions for PHSA, PHC as well as VCH.

Marlene Delanghe

Principle of Career Solutions and Career Advisor at UBC Centre for Student Involvement and Careers

Marlene Delanghe is a career advisor at the UBC Centre for Student Involvement and Careers where she has assisted graduate students launch their careers. In addition to working with students and delivering numerous workshops at UBC, she is the Principle of Career Solutions that offers innovative programming to growing, entrepreneurial organizations. She partners with companies to become an “Employer of Choice” through training and advisory in recruitment, performance management, & career management programs that are pragmatic, authentic and inspiring. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology, an undergraduate degree in Business Administration. As a professional and contributing member of her community, she is a member of the BC Human Resource Management Association, mentors participants of the Minerva Foundation, and contributes to “Sophia Wealth Academy” in partnership with “Dress for Success” by providing workshops for women who wish to gain financial wisdom.

Rikka Vassal

Rikka has been working with TPD for the past 6 years in Recruitment, Temporary Staffing as well as HR Consulting. As a result, she has gained extensive hands on HR experience and knowledge including but not limited to recruitment, performance management, WCB claims, training and development, employee engagement and policy development. Not only has Rikka worked in various divisions, she worked in both the BC and Alberta markets.

Through her career, Rikka has completed over 3000 interviews, managed over 200 temporary Fieldstaff and coached hundreds of candidates on interviewing techniques and strategies.
