Emerging Health Leaders Ottawa is hosting a Pan-Canadian Town Hall Meeting with several prominent health leaders to engage in a discussion with the public on the importance of leadership engagement and new directions with the Canada Health Accord.
On March 31, 2014, the 10-year Canada Health Accord expired, leading to cuts of 36 billion to health transfers over 10 years beginning 2017. Come learn about what these cuts mean for our health care services. We must work together, across jurisdictions and disciplines, to get the federal government to negotiate a new 10-year Health Accord for Canada. The importance of leadership engagement is crucial for providing equal access to quality health care for all Canadians.
