Pan-Canadian Town Hall Meeting: Canada Health Accord – Leadership Engagement and New Directions – Great success!

On May 21, 2014, Emerging Health Leaders Ottawa hosted a Pan-Canadian Town Hall Meeting with several prominent health leaders to engage in a discussion with the public on the importance of leadership engagement and new directions with the Canada Health Accord. There was media coverage on the town hall meeting. Prior to the event, on May 20, 2014, Elizabeth Payne, reporter for the Ottawa Citizen, published an article titled “Fears of health care inequality growing in Canada” after interviewing Dr. Chris Simpson and Dr. Michael Rachlis. The article was subsequently published in the Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal, Regina Leader-Post and Canada.com.
