Ms. Arty R. Coppes is an experienced executive coach and leadership trainer who has worked successfully for the past 11 years with health care leaders and executive at recognized medical institution in the USA, Canada and The Netherlands.
Arty has an MA from the University of Leiden, The Netherlands, her coaching certification (CEC) from Royal Roads University, Canada and the PCC designation from the ICF.
Founder and President of Coppes Coaching & Consulting, Arty is an internationally recognized executive coach and leadership trainer. Since 2004, she has worked with numerous health care leaders, including physicians, nurse managers, and administrators to help them identify individual leadership skills and how best to capitalize on them. She also works with interdisciplinary health care teams to improve effectiveness, team dynamics, and communication. Most recently, she has worked with leaders and teams from Children’s National Medical center, Washington DC, the National Cancer Institute, Duke University School of Medicine, University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and the University of British Columbia faculty of medicine.
Arty has extensive experience as an executive coach especially in healthcare both with physicians, nurse managers and healthcare teams.
She has a passion for leadership and co-authored: coaching ED’s of Non Profits, which was published in 2007 as well as Assess for the Best, published in March of 09; ( both in Choice magazine).
Her chapter on resilience and coaching skills was published in Discover Your Inner Strength with co-authors Stephen Covey and Ken Blanchard.
As Assistant Professor of Oncology at the University of Calgary, she published over 20 peer reviewed manuscripts on the history of Medicine. In 1997, she co-authored a book on the history of the Alberta Children’s Hospital. These experiences have provided her with an excellent basis from which to understand the challenges facing health care leaders.
Arty also served the University of Calgary as a Senator and as such dealt with many complex issues that affect the academic world.
