The Emerging Health Leaders Calgary Executive is currently looking for passionate, driven, and organized individuals to join the executive team. This is an amazing opportunity to contribute your expertise, ideas and energy to building EHL Calgary and promoting outstanding leadership in health. Additionally, this is a prime opportunity to develop your leadership skills and expand your professional network.
We have four positions available; Co-chair, Communications Coordinator, Sponsorship Coordinator, and Event Coordinator (see descriptions below). Interested individuals will be required to commit to at least eight hours of time per month during their term to ensure quality of EHL Calgary Node activities. Executive members will hold a position for a one- or two-year term to allow new team members the opportunity to lead EHL Calgary and to allow for continuity when terms expire.
Co-chair: The successful candidate will join a current-co chair in building and sustaining strategic partnerships. The co-chair will continue the work that is underway, as well as contribute to strategic planning for 2015-2016. Co-chairs will serve as members of the national co-chairs team. They will ensure alignment of EHL Calgary with EHL National, participate in the monthly co-chair teleconferences, and facilitate discussions with the EHL Calgary Executive team. They will manage the recruitment of executive members.
Event coordinator: This executive member will plan and coordinate EHL events in collaboration with other executive members. They will be tasked with securing venues, liaising with venue contacts, and ensuring that events run smoothly, which may include checking in guests and collecting payment. In collaboration with the co-chairs and the other executive members, the Event Coordinator will develop the schedule of events for EHL Calgary based on the EHL Calgary Strategic Plan.
Sponsorship Coordinator: This executive member will provide support and expertise to EHL Calgary around securing corporate supporter recruitment and fundraising. They will be key in developing and maintaining relationships with potential sponsors, will manage costs and sponsorship dollars for EHL Calgary, and will liaise with EHL National regarding national sponsorship relationships.
Communications Coordinator: This executive member will provide website and social media support and expertise to EHL Calgary. They will take responsibility for updating the website and membership email list, and engaging with social media sites, to promote both the image of EHL Calgary and to promote EHL Calgary events. This executive member will maintain professionalism in their social media interactions on behalf of EHL Calgary.
